Strengthening Muno Presence in India: New Application Laboratories in Kolkata and Kanpur
As part of Muno strategic expansion in India, we inaugurated a new application laboratory in Kolkata, located in one of the country’s most historic leather districts. The facility establishes a permanent local base to provide technical service, application development, and direct support to customers and partners.
The laboratory was inaugurated by Ramesh Kumar Juneja, Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE). His presence represented a distinguished recognition of our commitment to the Indian leather sector and highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry leaders and local institutions in fostering innovation, technical excellence, and sustainable growth.
In addition, we opened a second application laboratory in Kanpur (KLC, Banthar), within one of India’s key leather manufacturing clusters. The inauguration ceremony was attended by company representatives and local industry stakeholders, further strengthening our technical footprint and service capabilities in North India. The presence of Rajendra Jalan, Mukhtarul Amin, and Asad K Iraqi, who officially inaugurated the facility, underscored the value of close cooperation between companies and local institutions in supporting the sector’s innovation, efficiency, and sustainable development.
India represents a core strategic market for us, supported by a strong manufacturing base and an increasingly influential role in global leather supply chains. Through these investments, we aim to operate closer to our customers, respond more effectively to technical and market needs, and contribute to the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of Indian tanneries and leather manufacturers.
Together with the production plant in Kanchipuram, these initiatives reinforce our structured and long-term presence in India — combining international expertise with strong local capabilities to deliver reliable, consistent, and value-driven solutions.
